Seriously ?

Currently both my sisters are enrolled in a junior college and they feel like the need a Mac computer to take notes in class just to keep up with their teachers' lectures. This really shocked me because it made me realize that maybe when our children are in school the classrooms will require tablets or computers to take notes. With the technology rapidly advancing we might not need to learn how to write because typing takes up less time rather that writing on a piece of lined paper. My coach had recently asked if we ever learned how to write a check in elementary school and honestly everyone gave him the "Huh?" face because none of us had. Just think we probably didn't learn it because credit cards were starting to be the main source of buying certain things rather than actually paying with money. Do you think computers would be an easier way or would you rather stick to your own notes and your own writing because it causes less issues?

  1. Desiree, don't be surprised, we're moving into the future! Think of how much paper and trees we would save if we typed out our notes in class! I personally like to write my notes, just because i'm a doodle-on-the-side-of-my-paper type person, but i do find it beneficial and okay to type out your notes. I didn't learn how to write checks in elementary school, but i caught on from watching my parents. Checks are already starting to be replaced by online banking, but i personally wouldn't trust online banking. I would like to keep track of my bills and fees on paper. So to answer your question, for notes, i think using computers are fine. For banking however, i will personally stick to writing checks.
