Almost everyone in this generation has a cell phone, even children as young as ten years old. Come on, its the twenty-first century! It's that moment when you have a cell phone, where you want everyone's number. Either its that cute boy staring at you, or its that gorgeous girl with the curves. We all have our temptations or that moment of wanting something you can't have. Whats the main point of cell phones? Obviously to contact someone at any given moment in time. It gives you the ability to reach and connect to someone with the click of a button. Even as phones have advanced, we've been able to create video chats with cell phones. Woah, just only 20 years ago our parents didn't even have flip phones yet. Technology is advancing so quick.
Industries and companies use phones to contact costumers or clients. Teachers and schools use phones to contact parents. Grandparents even use cell phones and lastly teens use phones for everything. Whether its texting to calling your parents for a ride home or asking someone for help on homework. These phone companies are making so much money for such this simple act of connectivity between societies.
Ten years from now as phones advance and technology advances will a now "high priced most advanced" iphone become looked at as a simple joke? or As time progresses the convenience of an advanced item be our satisfaction?
I was just talking to my dad about something similar to this. He said that when I was a baby not everyone had cell phones and not everyone had flat screen television sets. Those kind of things were reserved for the rich. But just look at today I can't go to a friend's house without seeing at least one flat screen TV in their house or everyone in their family with a cell phone. My best friend's little sister has an iPhone4. I don't even have an iPhone. That just shows us how fast technology is growing
ReplyDeleteI too was had a conversation with my dad. He told me back in the eighties he used to have an early Nokia about the size of a large Bible and it weighed five pounds. Like Desiree, most people I know have HD tv's. All of my little cousins have iPads. My dad was talking about up-sizing to an 80 inch. I guess we're all too mesmerized by the various new toys.
