Technology Makes Us More Irritable

I’ve noticed that whenever I wait for a file to be downloaded or waiting for a video to finish buffering on Youtube, I easily get impatient whenever it seems like it takes forever for it to finish.  No matter how many times we hear that a certain new technology has faster internet connection, it never seems to satisfy the user with its speed.  I also notice that it affects on the interaction with others, like how we would usually get impatient for the most smallest things; like waiting in a line or waiting for someone to finish whatever they are doing.  Perhaps the faster the internet gets, the more we are accustomed to its speed which leads us to expecting other daily activities to be the same thing as well.
Even though it’s considered great that the internet is advancing and becoming more faster, it still leads us into wanting it to become more better than the last version.  If a file, document, or video takes up to one minute to be saved or downloaded it would have felt like it took forever for it to finish and leads to irritability and stress.  One would just want it to get it over with and worry if perhaps this new technology is broken already.  Surprisingly, now matter how irritating it is on waiting for a certain item to be completely downloaded we are still dependent on technology and still use it for our daily routines. So my question is what do you think would finally satisfy us for the technology that we have, and how the internet should be?

  1. Ever since I started using the internet excesively I became very irratated when I have to be patient. When I am online I am used to having fast internet and using google to find things quickly. This expectancy to getting everything quick has transfered over to my daily life and made me very impatient.
