FAQ
Do you want to look at our annotated book? No, thank you. I'd like to take a look at them later. I used to collect everyone's books way back in the day and it was a mess.
Can I comment on my own post (if I am responding to someone who has responded to me)?
Of course. That's what we call "a conversation."
Did you really ride your bike 50 miles last Thursday?
Yes, I did. Thanks for asking.
Did Nicolas Carr write a carefully researched book and provide multiple neurological, sociological and psychological studies just so that he could bag on the Internet and complain about how he feels more distracted?
Uh, no.
Should I be adding my posts and comments to the spreadsheet myself?
You cannot. You have a "read-only" relationship with that document. If everyone could put whatever they wanted into that document, the document wouldn't have much meaning.
When are notebooks due?
Your notebooks are due on Friday, August 24th. I'm giving a little bump to any early notebooks, and assessing no penalty to notebooks turned in on Monday, August 27th, but I must have them by noon. Mr. Kailiponi wants a roster of AP kids by that afternoon so we can build our rosters and get kids into the appropriate English class.
Can I still write on the blog?
Yes, of course. You can continue to write, post, comment -- as you wish. It's just that I have stopped counting. So write for its intrinsic value, and forget about the extrinsic reward of points. Who cares about points? We have important matters to discuss.
Thanks for your hard work!
