Once I started to read this book it became so hard for me to put it down. It's so interesting to me because it's real, these are actual stories from someone's life. I can related to some of the journal entries and I like to have that kind of connection with the book. I even watched the movie on Netflix, it was pretty good, it made me want to read the book even more than ever just so I can compare the two. I love how the students are so descriptive in their writing, I enjoy visualizing what they went through during the time.
Mrs. Gruwell put so much of her time and effort into all of her students because she believed in them and had faith that each and everyone of them could graduate from high school. It made me realize that all of our teachers want us to do extremely well in school, they just show it in different ways. I can't wait to finish the book and see what happens next.
