Huxley's comparison between two worlds

Aldous Huxley's, Brave New World, seems strange and deranged but is it all that different from ours? He created a world In which there is order, stability and complacency. The perfect utopian society. But Subconciously, theres fear under their happy demeaners. Deep rooted anxiety that appears at the slightest hint of  deviating from the norm. Their world is controlled by and individual whos job it is to acertain the well kept and conditioned happiness and stability. Is our society not somewhat similar?
In our world, there is a necessity for stability, and an individual or unit to maintain that stability. We strive for happiness and order which we've been given the right to persue. We are not close to being a utopian society yet we criticize and reprimand other societies and cultures for being other than what we would call normal.
I believe that Huxley fashioned his world as he did, so as to make us reflect and compare his world to ours. His world was an oddity yet it was so close to ours that I couldn't help but to compare the two. I saw the same structure in leadership and society and the same need for happiness. Though or world is not as extreme as huxley's, the two worlds have similar qualities.
